The moving jaw plate is one of the main parts of a jaw crusher. The crushing efficiency of a jaw crusher is related to whether its moving jaw plate can run normally. The strength and rigidity of the moving jaw plate have a great influence on the performance and property of the moving jaw plate. Therefore, it is necessary to make an analysis of the strength and rigidity of the moving jaw plate.

Before we analyze the strength and rigidity of the moving jaw plate, the moving jaw plate should be made an analysis. And the results of the analysis are as follows:

1. The analysis on the rigidity of the moving jaw plate

The rigidity of the moving jaw has an obvious influence on the crushing effect of the jaw crusher and the service life of the bearings. During the time of the design of a jaw crusher, the rigidity of it can not be ignored. For example, although the magnitude of stress of the end of the moving jaw plate is low, it can not be thinned. The enough rigidity of it should be guaranteed. Otherwise, it will affect the service life of the bearings. Even, it may cause the abrasion of the bearings and lead to accidents.

2. The analysis on the strength of the moving jaw plate

The magnitude of stress produced by the toggle plate, the base, and the accessories is big, because they are the most thin parts of the moving jaw plate. According to the load that the moving jaw plate can bear, it is reliable. However, in the actual operation process, sometimes, the moving jaw plate may be broken. And the parts around the bracket base are always broken. It is because the users operate the machine in a wrong way. They may adjust the outlet to be excessively small, which will cause over compaction. Or it may produce high load if the jaw crusher often crush iron or other materials with high strength. Then the moving jaw plate will be broken.

Besides, the magnitude of stress of the body of the moving jaw plate and the head of it is low, especially that of its end. The distortion of the moving jaw plate and the stress distribution are determined by the crushing force and the parts which the crushing force acts on. When the toothed plate is torn, the crushing force will be bigger. And the part which the crushing force acts on will be the lower one of the moving toothed plate. Thus, it will be harmful to the part around the axle base.
